Station Teaching
Our on-snow experience for beginner skiers and riders will be improved with a new lesson format. Some group lessons will now be taught with the station teaching method. This allows individuals to progress at their own speeds, at a more affordable price than a private lesson. Our certified instructors will be situated in progressive stations within our teaching area. Each station will teach a new skill; from standing up on the snow to proper stance and posture, making and linking turns and finally loading and unloading on a lift. Students will be able to spend as much, or as little, time as they need at an individual station. In traditional group lessons, often a student will excel at a speed greater than the rest of their group, sometimes leaving them frustrated and bored. Or, a student will struggle with a particular element of the sport, again, leading to frustration and possibly embarrassment. Now, students will receive the one-on-one attention from instructors, with specifically focused mini-lessons. Our station teaching area will aided by a new surface lift, bringing Snowshoe's total lift count to 15 across our Basin, Silver Creek and Western Territory Areas.
Safety Commitment

As in previous years, helmet rentals for all ages will be available at all Snowshoe rental locations, and our rental and retail outlets will also have a variety of helmets available for purchase. Also beginning this season, all youth lesson participants, age 12 and under, will be required to wear a helmet during Snowshoe lessons (both private and group lessons). All of Snowshoe's instructors teaching these lessons will also be required to wear helmets. Similarly, all
