Ballhooter 2020 has been cancelled
After significant deliberation with Federal and State health officials, we have made the decision to cancel this weekend’s Ballhooter Festival and all related activities. Due to the evolving nature of COVID-19, we are cooperating with a statewide directive to cancel all large gatherings. This was not an easy decision to make as we want to provide our guests a fun, memorable experience, however the safety of our guests, employees, and our community takes precedent.
We will remain open for normal business operations here on the mountain, and will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation with our healthcare advisors. We recommend that everyone traveling to the resort follow the guidelines established by the CDC. If you are experiencing and signs or symptoms of any illness, or been in contact with anyone who has, we politely request that you stay home and not travel to the resort. Please contact us to discuss your options to accommodate any changes to upcoming reservations.

BALLHOOTER 2020 LINEUP
About The ArtistsPapAdosio
Falling somewhere between rock, jazz and electronic mayhem we find Papadosio striving to create music that is strangely familiar, and callas all walks of humanity to bask in a unique experience of celebrating the one constant in an ever changing world: music.
Characterized as a dynamic progressive rock band, Papadosio creates the sound of new age technology merging with mesmerizing instrumentation. Between the unfamiliar melodic sound and the element of production their live show will leave you wanting more.
Dopapod
Symmetry defines Dopapod. More than that, balance has become the band's modus operandi, with the group consciously juggling the darker tones of heavy rock with lighthearted humor; synthesizing tastes of funk, jazz, bluegrass, electronica, and more within their complex improvisational compositions. During live shows, Dopapod is known for taking fans on a full-out journey, guiding attendees through periods of frenzied dance contrasted with moments of thoughtful contemplation.
North Mississippi Allstars
The North Mississippi Allstars incorporate their father's concept of roots music as a framework for improvisation and blending experimental/psychedelic excursions into Hill Country anthems. "Transcending time and space, music reaches out into the dark of night like a wisteria vine, looking for free-hearted souls to latch onto and wedge into the foundations of hate, slowly tearing down walls a generation at a time."
Perpetual Groove
As one of the most sought-after bands on the Jam/roots circuit in the early 2000's, Perpetual Groove reached 800+ in hard ticket sales in diverse markets; headlining festivals such as Bonnaroo, 10,000 Lakes, High Sierra, Wakarusa, Langerado, Jamcruise and Jam in the Dam. Perpetual Groove, after a rejuvenating hiatus, has returned, much to the delight of their still-supportive and loyal fans. As their fans have matured, the band's sound has also grown, with the band's songwriters incorporating elements of pop and even EDM into the traditional P. Groove sound.
The Wooks
The Wooks are a Kentucky based band energetically honoring the sound of traditional bluegrass and mountain music. Capturing a moment, and a place - its past, people, and terrain within a song. The Wooks harness the rich musical storytelling traditions of Kentucky into a new, old sound that embraces both string-music heritage and rock 'n roll, jam, and singer-songwriter influences. Since 2014 the band has delivered a raw, boot stomping, sing-along to every song, good-time bluegrass show, "...with improv-savvy interplay that endears the band to jam music fans and bluegrass traditionalists alike." according to Lexington Hearald-Leader.
Black Garlic
From the depths of small-town Appalachia in Fayetteville, West Virginia, the infectious music of Black Garlic can be found providing a necessary revision for "so-called" jam bands. In a hypnotizing mixture of funk, jazz, and rock, Black Garlic transports their listeners into a haunting psychedelic adventure. The unique atmosphere associated with Black Garlic comes from their lively performances by the members who feel like your friends and not strangers on the stage. While providing a professional sound, Black Garlic is a band who has not forgotten the magic found within the intimacy of their beginnings in the off-hours of a restaurant to play for their enjoyment.
